How is it possible (in Seattle anyway; it may be normal in Denver!) to eat dinner outside at 7:00 pm one Saturday, and have two inches of snow the next Saturday? Especially in the second half of April! Just goes to show that anythng is possible.
Snow bedecked blossoms are a rare sight, very memorable in fact. and the flowers don't seem to be bothered. A couple of weeks ago, the daffodils were bent under 6 inches of snow - the same weight that broke our huge dogwood tree in half. But as soon as the snow melted, the daffodil blooms emerged and stood back up, as perky as before.
A lesson for us, maybe? Another parable? its amazing how much of the weight of life we can survive if we are flexible and keep smiling. I think I'm even beginning to learn this truth! Beginning, I said.
